SCP Partner Jill Pennington, along with co-counsel, represented an EPC contractor in a large, complex, industrial construction dispute in a bench trial before the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. At issue were competing breach of contract claims and a dispute over the scope and nature of contractual and extracontractual damages. Jill successfully defended the client against the plaintiff’s claims and prosecuted the defensive counterclaims to a win. The Court entered judgment for SCP’s client- a $10 million dollar swing in the defense’s favor.

SCP Partner David Smith negotiated and closed a series of secured loans for a newly-formed oil and gas producer with assets located in Texas, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Louisiana with a total loan amounts of over $500 million dollars.
